Skeleton on gibbet
« on: August 03, 2009, 03:58:56 PM »
Does anyone know who makes a 28mm skeleton hanging from a gibbet? I'm after one that I could bend into service as a skeleton as used in old science lessons and anatomy classes. Thanks.

Fear not, I will remember and get back to you....

The Reaper one looks great - I just checked it out in their site.

I've never bought their stuff before - are there any UK stockists? (Alternatively, are postage rates from the US fairly reasonable?)

Em...which one do you need? A gibbet or a skeleton? The latter, I suppose...

Ebob has some cheap and accurate skellies.

Gibbets you can get from BTD (bulky lead) or GW's giant set (thin plastic).

Miniature figurines had them and i believe Leisure Games are going to be stocking them.

I saw this post and it got me thinking how I can make a quick cheap gibbet.  I didn't have a figure to use so I made a clay mould of a dixon figure of a man hanging. Once the mould was made I just pushed in some clay to make a new figure (its not great, but the guy should be decaying anyway). I sculpted the back of the figure by hand, and built the gibbet from some cardboard. In about and hour I had a gibbet.

Thanks all. It's the first time I've ever posted a question and someone has actually gone out and made a model in response - nice work Dr Pepper!

I'm really after the skeleton more than anything, and those Ebob ones look like a good option. I'll put 'em on the list...
