Quite a few metal manufacturers.  Grubby Tanks sells the old Britannia Range plus his own Kelly's Heroes.  These are OK and include some nice extras like drop canister etc. CP Models sell their own range plus TQD Castings, however these are mostly too late. However some would do. Dixon make a nice but very small range. Early War Miniatures produce early  war but IMHO not the best. Finally AB produce a superb range but you may need a 2nd mortgage.

In plastic I believe Valiant Miniatures produce a boxed set but I haven't seen them.

There are a lot of 20mm plastic FJ.  Some are appropriate for 1940, some not.

Take a look and see which you can use.

The Valiant ones are scaled between 20mm and 28mm so won't work with anything (except other Valiant figures).

I heard last year that Valiant had re-moulded their figures to be more true to 1/72nd. The German Paras are meant to be for Crete in 1941 and as well as the plastic box sets ( riflemen and support weapons) they also produce metal "specials".  They don't look too bad, but I understand they still don't mix well with other 20mm ranges. However, it looks like you can get all you need from them and they are fairly cheap compared to metal ranges.

Valiant has only (re)released 1 set in 1/72 (20mm).  “Classic German Inf” late war.

That was 2 years ago.

They broke it down into 2 sets.

They are not bad in their own right, proportions are similar to Warlord, etc with oversized heads and hands. I have all the sets.

However, you cannot use them with any others.

SHQ
New website now open.
They are on the smaller side of 20mm but as they are sold in packs of 3 you can pick and mix to avoid late war weapons.

These are the Wartime Miniatures range of FJ, now sold by Simons Soldiers. Mainly late war, but maybe something there?

SHQ has some very nice figs, as does FAA if you can get them. I'd avoid EWM I have some and they are just not good.

Unfortunately, I’m not aware of any UK stockist. I contacted FAA some time ago to ask and never received a reply. Indeed they’ve never replied to any e-mail I sent them.

I’ve only managed to source them by ordering direct and having them couriered back to UK by a mate’s sister!

I also know that UK to US postage has increased dramatically in price since the start of July.
