Pulp City/Kitbash Games Painting and Battle Reports
« on: June 21, 2020, 07:43:04 AM »
It's been a long while since I posted here, but I've recently had my Kitbash Games Supers Unlimited kickstarter delivered. As the models come with cards for Pulp City and Super Mission Force, my daughter and I took the opportunity to try out Pulp City and have some assorted heroes tangle with a few members of the Red Republik I painted a while ago.

The teams were:

Heroes of Empire City - Roughneck, Doc Cosmos, Tox

The Red Republik - Alpha Male, Chernobog, Siberian

In the ruined quarter of old Empire City, the cosmic crusader, Doc Cosmos, has teamed up with two of the Outcasts, Tox and Roughneck, to track down Alpha Male, henchman of the Shadow Axis. Word on the street is that he's meeting some contacts from a villainous organisation from outside Empire City. Doc Cosmos hopes to prevent these nefarious types joining forces and so our heroes enter the abandoned part of town, unaware that they are walking into a trap...

Cool AAR.  Nice to have another gamer in the family - especially now.

A couple more Kitbash Supers.

First up, Plasmatron of the Vindicators team. I've painted him to resemble Microwave from the Freedom Force PC game - I have a slow burning project to get Freedom Force to the tabletop.

Also Mayhem (on the left), the tag team partner of Alpha Male I painted last year. They are part of the Shadow Axis team, which is the team bundle I pledged for in the Kickstarter.

Another couple added. Both from the Shadow Axis team, which already features Alpha Male and Mayhem.

First up, Shadow Soldier, the arcane infiltrator. I've done a minor conversion which involved a hand swap (not the smg before you ask) with a Heroclix Doctor Strange.

And now the diminutive Big Brain. There's a tiny nod to Marvel's Gremlin in the colours I chose.

Another day, another Kitbash Miniature. This time it's Immolator, who bore enoygh of a similarity to Starfire for me to paint her as such. I've also rebased my Shadow Axis team on something a little more interesting.

This is Stormfront, the leader of the Shadow Axis, who shall be spearheading their attack in games of Pulp City.

I've started on the Ape Revolition Committee for Pulp City. I've gone for a Tron vibe for the Primate of Science, whereas Ape-Bot is channelling a Soviet tank.
