wierd war US winter troops...
« on: 05 August 2009, 09:07:47 PM »
Hi all, just finished these Artizan US troops, they are for my weird war allied forces, also done some tree bases using Bachmann trees on mdf bases with some foam used as well, the trees were £10 for 24! which i thought was pretty good! they were already painted white so even easier to finish! ive included pics of my whole force including four Shermans and an m10, as well as 3 maks and some heroes to sort out the major bad guys!

Fantastic! The painting is outstanding, and the snow effect on the bases is beautiful! A really nice force, and they look great on the table with those trees.

Ok, I have to ask (since I've been toying with the idea of Winter Troops for my 'in the planning stages' Weird World War American force) - what's the colour scheme on the troops (in other words, what paints did you use!), and just HOW did you get that snow effect on the bases? It looks great!

I think the bazooka team is my favourite - the weathered and worn effect on the bazookas is really nicely done. Of course, the command squad looks great too!
