That's what I like to see, the Renaissance as it should have been. What's next? Da Vinci Air Assault?  lol

@paul
It's scratchbuild: balsawood over a core of styrofoam. Plus a perry horse and a victrix-cannon.

It looks so good I wasn´t sure wether it was a kit. Excellent scratch build  :) :)
I knew the truck didn´t want to hit me...it had dodge written on the front

Wow, really nice! Even if you did ruin it with the fantasy bit.  ;D I have still only painted four of mine.

There used to be a set of rules called "Leonardo Plus" that covered Renaissance wargames with Leonardo Da Vinci's inventions.  Long out of print, I suppose.
Clear the battlefield and let me see
All the profit from our victory.

Written by Gary Leitzel, an old gaming friend of mine and current mayor of Dayton, Ohio! He sold the game including the rights to the rules to a fellow who still occasionally runs them at conventions so it might be possible to get a copy if you hunt around.

Thanx for all the very encorouging comments... :)

Perhaps I should have made it clear from the start, that this is not a daVinci-War-Project, for me. The wierd aspect will have all sort of things: magic, monsters and regilious things...
So don't be too disapointed, if there are not too many daVinci things in the pipeline... ;)

Okay, on to the next city-state: Siena. Old enemy of Florence and the Medici.
I love their limited colour sheme... :o

Lots of things to do, but you get the idea.
So far: 6 pike, 6 billmen, 4 bow, il capitano and the big bodyguard of il Capitano, Brucinus, the Orco of Siena. A nightmarish creature from the appenine mountains...
And a small mortar (sill without crew). Scratchbuild with an old megaminiatures table and a GW-mortar barrel.

Brucinus. An old foundry orc wich lay in my leadmountain for over ten years, so I am very happy he is finally painted...

Cheers,
DV

I love that orc!  :-*

He looks fantastic!

Personally, I'm really bored with the typical green skin orcs and goblins.
