Hmm.  Just stumbled upon this thread.  Scramble for Africa is ripe for alternative gaming.  Deep into creating my own but set on earth, just 'rearranging' history and tossing in a very large dose of creative licensing.  There is a connective tissue to what is here, I am using some "Martians" as one of my 'created tribes' but since I am working in 15 mm they shouldn't stand out as 'too weird' for my intentions - slightly weird perhaps but that fits.  The figures I am using are the old Black Hat range - and some other figures meant for natives in the region of Central America.  And, like yours, I am bringing in more nations - mostly ones that were already in Africa but also tossing in the United States.  Creative license is fun.

VonAkers popped in yesterday to show me what the postie brought him: a Floating Battery by Oshiro models

We oohhed and ahhed for ages over this wonderful model, which is crisply cast and comes with some great features.
I'm envious as hell!

"For reasons unknown, some American observers have dubbed it the Marvel Mystery Can.

Really cracking conveyance! Can't wait for more ordinance load outs!

Is there space on the balcony for figs?

Crackin' good fun, I would say!

One-sided battles with one-sided luck can be disappointing, even to the victor. Even the threat of an overturning gives that needed drama.

Excellent dispatch, er, AAR!
