So much awesomeness.

I am so glad to see another great Witcher-Fan who also knows not just the games but also the lore and loves the books as much much as I do.
I am a big fan of your project and it always makes me smile when I'm bored at work and can look into this thread to find some new Witcher-Goodness :)

May I ask you if you are from germany too?

They look great, and you painted them up nicely.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Thanks for all the kind comments.

Jack Hooligan, after drybrushing from brown to beige I pick out a couple of individual stone with light grey and wash them with black. Afterwards I add static grass and tufts.
The minis are mostly painted Goblin Green (Army painter) for the uniforms, Zandri Dust or Wraithbone (GW) for the gambesons, Calthan brown (GW) for everything made of leather and a few extra colours depending on the mini. After the base colours comes a wash with either Agrax Earthshade (GW) or Strong Tone (Army Painter) over everything exept metal. The first highlight is done with the basecolour, the final highlight with basecolour + Wraithbone. I feel having the same wash and highlight helps tieing the colours together.

Ciliatus, I am indeed from Germany, near Köln. I was wondering what gave it away when I remembered my nickname :D
Thank you for the compliment, that is very nice to hear.
While I hope you are all enjoying your weekend, in case you have to spend your saturday working I have some finished modells to show you:

Great work! And excellent showcase of the Claymore figures too!

Silly question but does this mean that you'll be using the Claymore aesthetic for the Temeria-and-friends part of the Northern Realms?

Ultra, Mr. J, thanks.

HappyChappy, I guess that depends. I'm using a mix of Hundred Years War and War of the Roses models and bits for the northern realms. The more modern armour of the WotR for the wealthier and elite troops, the HYW armour and aesthetic for smaller nations or just poorer troops.

Celts and Germans to go with the orcs from a couple of pages earlier. I'm planning a Rangers of Shadow Deep scenario where they will be used.

Ha, I thought so^^ Great. I send you a PM, hope thats ok.

Beside that, great paintjob as always. I am simply amazed by those freehands you paint on those shields. I wish I could only paint half as good as that ^^'
