Jack Hooligan, after drybrushing from brown to beige I pick out a couple of individual stone with light grey and wash them with black. Afterwards I add static grass and tufts.
The minis are mostly painted Goblin Green (Army painter) for the uniforms, Zandri Dust or Wraithbone (GW) for the gambesons, Calthan brown (GW) for everything made of leather and a few extra colours depending on the mini. After the base colours comes a wash with either Agrax Earthshade (GW) or Strong Tone (Army Painter) over everything exept metal. The first highlight is done with the basecolour, the final highlight with basecolour + Wraithbone. I feel having the same wash and highlight helps tieing the colours together.

Finished a regiment of foot for Alladore/Brugge and started painting the royal family of Lorenthia for a sort of prequel campaign to the events in RoSD

Thanks for the praise. I'm a bit surprised myself just how good and crisp the green looks.
Also, the royal family of Lorenthia is done and ready to face their doom. I really like the little guy, he's from Hasslefree and simple super cute.

Fantastic painting!

Really like the LotR Model as well. It truly is a pity that I did not start that game when it was in its heyday. Would actually like to try it even today but where I live there is no players for that game and I am not willing to throw my money at GW for a product they do not actively support. Well, apart from the overpriced Forgeworld stuff...

Anyway, looking forward to seeing more of your excellent work!

My wife and I played two games of the Last Days Of Lorenthia. The first was Rangers of Shadow Deep, where a force of Orcs and other monsters assaults a train of peasants fleeing into a Lorenthian city.

The second game was Oathmark, a pitched battle between the Lorenthian Army and the force of Orcs, Ogers and Undead.

For some reason the inverted photographs give me a headache, so they have not received the attention from me that they deserve.

This is another inspiring thread (I have always had problems visualising how to paint medieval and fantasy armies but this thread and Akula's "painting everyone in Westeros" thread is giving me ideas).
