This is going to be an extensive range!

It will take time, to finish 1848 I have Hanoverians, Oldenburg, Mecklenburg, Brunswickers and Prussians to do before hitting all the states and uniform changes for 1849.

The picture attached is conversions for a Holstein unit wearing mixed civilian and military equipment for when they ran out of clothing, some I'll paint with dyed black coats mixed with the red coats.  I feel like Victor frankenstein the way I've built the figures with different heads, arm and torso!!!

I just ran across this thread - really amazing. I have been working on doing conversions in 28mm for the 1st Schleswig-Holstein War for about 3 years, and this coming Wednesday is my first actual game!

Dave Pen: do you have any interest in letting other people get ahold of these figures? I am very interested in both this conflict and in the Baden revolution, which you mentioned.

Beautiful work!

Cheers,

A. Gregory

Just a quick update, this week I've moulded the SH cavalry in shell jacket with a mix of helmet and field cap and the baden infantry in greatcoat.

At the end of the month will be the Hannoverians

Latest painted figures Baden at the back.

Here's a picture(s) of the latest masters ready for moulding next week - Hanoverian artillery crew, dragoon dolly and head, Baden revolt line and command in tunic (a bit of divergence there) and head dollies for future use - Saxe Gotha and Bavarian.

Thanks for the comment, moulded the latest batch and I've sent back to the designer dollies for doing the Holstein troops in Prussian style uniform in feldmutz and completing the Hanoverian dragoons.  I've  also sent back the masters of the Baden line in tunic to convert the heads to field cap (looks like a tall kepi without the peak) I low temp moulded the figures to ensure they survived the moulding process.  As well I've sent back the heads of the Saxe Coburg Gotha to do the greatcoat unit. After that it will be on to the Mecklenburgers.

ps asked designer to do the espignol, the small version used in 1848 with separate single and 3 barrel variants detachable barrels for the barricades and house windows.
