First Schleswig-Holstein War, 1848 28mm?

Merry Christmas and a happy New year, its been very busy at Pendraken, Saxon cavalry dolly is moulded along with the Prussian cuirassier they have been sent back to the designer to complete.
In the picture are extra naval crew for the 600mm gun boat, a Danish sniper and the Saxon cavalry dolly.

Yes, the Danes had what was called the tap rifle, they were at the start of issueing them generally to the troops starting with the light/jager types first
In 1849 a speciel corps of marksmen was created of volunteers ("Det frivillige Riffelskyttekorps"). All members were tested for their marksmanship. You had to at least be able to hit a man sized target from "200 alen" with seven out of ten shots and all had to be "deadly" (head and body). 60 men were picked and put into two units, one for Dybbøl, one for Fredericia. The uniform was the standard "jæger"uniform but with a white cross on the left shoulder. Armament was a "tapriffel" model

Thanks Dr Zombie for the video on the tap rifle very interesting, The Schleswig Holstein army were similarly dressed, but I've done the sharpshooter in a feldmutz as against a kepi, I put the wrong picture up earlier (see attached word doc for uniforms).  The SH army were basically a German dressed version of the Danish army.  I've currently finished a Prussian unit with needle rifle and have been basing/flocking lots of trees and have assembled and painted a church (from warbases) lovely model. 
My plan is in the new year to get out all the figures I've had designed and painted for a megagames (I've approx 18 Danish battalions painted).  I do need to paint more limber teams for the Danes.
