Romans, Celts, Thracians & a Greek
« on: 25 July 2020, 02:27:06 AM »
G'day all,
here's some ancients that I've finished recently. All 28mm metal from Aventine, Foundry, & Footsore ranges. Leadbear's Tufts used on the bases. The Roman shield designs are decals, the rest are freehand. Very impressed by Aventine miniatures. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Stunning brushwork!
I love the Marcus Aurelius Romans. As for the Republicans in subarmalis, are they also from Aventine?

Thanks very much Philippe.
Yes the Republican Romans are also available from Aventine miniatures. If you are interested I have painted more Romans which I can share pictures of.

The Thracians are also from Footsore's "Mortal Gods" range, I believe. I have a few of them myself. I was hoping to mix them in with some 1st Corps Thracians but alas, they're like a head taller than those boys, so it just looked too weird :D I'm thinking I'll use them for a "command group" at some point.
