here is a thread where all can display their efforts! These are mostly Oathmark Goblins, Gripping Beast Saxon Thegns(great because they are small for 28mm) Victrix Vikings and Hasle free orc and goblin heads(great value)

I have just recieved some Atlantic Halflings and Eorwhan Orcs which I am hoping to combine to create Gobbos!!!

I have a bad case of prescient nostalgia. The future's not what it used to be.

Great initiative and great work! Here are my conversions made of GW LOTR Orcs, Wargames Atlantic Dark Age Irish, Warlord Games Orcs, Frostgrave Soldiers, Gripping Beast Thegns and other bits.

Some recent Orc conversions using parts from a few different plastic miniatures.

Here's the before shot:

From Left to Right - Reaper Bones orc, headswap & greenstuff furs; Bones orc, headswap, Oathmark plastic goblin shield, sword from Wargames Atlantic Afghans, Halberd (WA?); Wargames Atlantic Persian legs & torso, Oathmark arms & head, Afghan shield; WA Halfling with Oathmark arms, head & shield - greenstuff legs.

After:

Orctastic idea! Looking forward to seeing more Orcish conversions.

Wow! So much inspiration on this thread. I have tried to make use of some undead bits that would otherwise go to waste. And yeah, I need to get some more washes on that one orange looking Orc. These are meant to be Orc Trackers as per MESBG, so unarmored, poor melee troops. I figured being near the bottom of the food chain they might look pretty hungry...

Excellent idea for a thread. There’s certainly never been a better time to build orcs!

Here’s my latest: wolf riders.  I loved the Oathmark riders but the wolves didn’t fit my image at all so I’ve been playing around with them. To get some more dynamic shooting poses for the riders, I’ve robbed some Perry WOTR and Gripping Beast Arab cavalry arms. The Wargames Atlantic Irish art has provided a great spear throwing arm for one of my scouts, and a cloak for my goblin
leader. I’ve tried some alternative torsos from the Warlord orcs sprue, but they are a bit barrel-chested. Obviously everything needs green stuffing and a few more tweaks.
