Hello from a newbie, anyway to this site.  Scarab Austrian stormtroopers.  Not bad but bloody big hands and sway backs. Could be the start of an interesting range. There done it first post.

Hello Hamrock!  :)

Well, busy weekend and a haul from the York show, came home with;

Black Hat Miniatures Dragon Kings temple guardian, wizards and warrior princesses, as well as a full set of the new Shattered Isles halfling militia - which are bloody lovely by the way.

Curteys chinese rabble and peasants, but not the scribe as they'd sold out. Grrr. These minis look lots better than on the website. Great stuff. may have to order some more.

Golgo Island martial artists, characters, boiler suited minions, and the Alpha Zorgl by Bob Olley and the transvestite Hitler by Tom Meier, all from ERM. Stupid fun, utterly brilliant.

A huge haul of Foundry Orclings from Dave Thomas. I don't know how he stays in business, his prices are so low!

Blue Moon rocket men from Old Glory UK - again, much nicer than pictures would lead you to believe.

Ironclad VSF Naval boarding party and tank commander, and placed an order for a steam tank that they'd sold out of. Lovely friendly people, will certainly do business with them again.

A couple of bits from Old Crow too, some temple dog statues and a sampan for Chinesey games.

Phew, think that's the lot. There could have been so much more though. One or two "D'oh!" moments in the car on the way back as I realised I'd meant to go back for a couple of things and then forgotten.

Right, time to get busy!  ;D

I got a load of West Wind/Old Glory Cowboy Wars figures from a friend over the weekend. Both packs of banditos, both pack of rancheros, and a pack of Arizona Rangers. It looks like I will have a nice gang of Mexican bandits in our upcoming campaign. Now I just have to get painting and brush up on my horrible Mexican accent!

Got the second half of my HLBS 28mm dinosaur order last week, finally picked it up today. Lovely beasts!

The Mongolian Raptors are especially nice - the stalking, skulking poses remind me very much of the raptors in the first Jurassic Park movie!

The Compys are neat too - tiny things about dog sized. One of them is kind of cute - good thing they come in a pack of ten!

I mostly got smaller dinos, as the larger stuff (T. Rex, stegosaurus, etc) is fairly easy to find in plastic toy dinos in roughly-28mm scale, but all the models of raptors and such I've seen in the plastic toy lines are far too large to work in scale.

Hopefully someone buys the molds of these lovely lizards off of HLBS when the stop making them later this year! o_o

Saturday got some of the new Hasslefree zombies, sculpted by Matt Lord - most of these have already gone into the zombie horde.

Sunday, went to Varnaptak (York show) and picked up more of the Musketeer minis for a very British Civil War - they get better and better..... Plus a stronghold Beaverette, and some woodbine heads.
