Birthday week meant quite a few goodies for me.

I got a Northstar Grab Bag containing a random selection mainly ww2 models but also some British models, a naked bearded dude and a few others.

Also for flames of war

I have recived a few packs of ww2 british from peter pig.

and in the post to me is some Bofors self propelled anti air guns and some Ram Kangroo troop transports both in 15mm.

Surprised myself that the first box of Perry medieval plastic I bought would be for Warhammer. Well not quite: for southern rabble to flesh out the skirmish bands led by the Chaos champions and things I somehow accumulated. Only now I have them, despite knowing the size of Perry minis, they look tiny compared to the humongous, chunky warlords and barbars and things. I might have to take a leaf out of Heresy's Big Boris' book and say everything north of Kislev has a bit of ogre blood in them. That or snag a box of imperial militia or frostgrave plastics...

At least now I've got something that scales with the couple of Red Box minis I have.

The first dark elves for my dragon rampant force arrived too. 7 plastic cold one knights, cost me £7.50 on ebay. The bits needed to replace missing bits and bits liberally coated in styrene glue cost me £10. I think that's what they call false economy.

Just received some of Masons' wonderful sculpts. Picked up his future scavengers some survivors, and the good doctor moriaty.

Should go well with the few spacelords I picked up in an antique shop.

A section's worth of the lovely new Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders for Aden 1967 plus the brand new Afghan mule cart, the associated figures and a flock of goats and goatherd,all from Eureka.

Is the mule cart a new piece that does not appear on the web site? I'm close to submitting an order and that might have to be on it.

Yup, just cast this week, they haven't even finished the stowage for it. Not that I'm bothered, I'll make my own anyway. Should prove a jolly useful item in any number of settings. There's a goat cart being readied as well.

I picked up another half dozen SuperFigs, and some of the Reaper Bones gray alien packs a few weeks ago. When I was opening the Bones it seemed like the warriors and leaders were the same minis. I took one of them back to exchange it, but that too looked like the same set of minis. I ended up exchanging it for a Black Sun henchman or something instead.

I was tempted to pick up the flying saucer, but haven't convinced myself of the need for that just yet.
