Heresy ghouls thanks to Geckilian, and Brunel & Trixie from Ramshackle. On the Ramshackle front, I was pleasantly surprised to find a free postcard when I opened my package (I've been looking for a cool postcard so I can make a 28mm billboard), but was even pleasantlier surprised to find some freebies, and Brunel cast in metal rather than resin! Many hearts fluttering their way to Curtis (who was also nice enough to put up with my random questions via pm)

20mm RIC (Black & Tans) in Tam O Shanters, British Infantry in steel helmets, and armed civilians. Oops, little bit of politics! - All figures from RHModels (thanks to Keeper for suggesting the supplier to me). They'll be used for Early 20th Century Pulp! games, but could do nicely for 1938ECW as well.

Not sure if this counts or not, but I got a dozen of Flashing Blade's 40mm Napoleonic Portugese. I say I'm not sure if it counts because they belong to a friend of mine, I just get to paint them.  ;D They are a nice match for the Perry and Sash and Saber stuff he already has, although I think the anatomy is just a bit off on a couple of them (legs appear to be a tad short).

Three packs of Great War Miniatures Late WW1 Germans - yes, these were supposed to be my Round 1 LPL3 entry, for the bonus points. As is, they're two weeks too late - North Star was out of stock of two of the three packs I ordered back on the 20th of March! Rotten luck, but North Star was good about email communication to let me know what was going on.

They're big 28mm, which is good, as all my existing 28mm is Pulp Figures, Copplestone & Artizan, all on the larger end.

They're destined to join my inter-war pulp forces, so the paintjob will be only approximately historical. Purists will no doubt be horrified.

The sniper pack is neat - the standing sniper in facemask is destined to become one of my pulp villains - really, what else can you do with a figure with a steel facemask, big cape, and scoped rifle?

The two prone snipers are actually cast with their scenic base, partially. The waist & legs of each figure are cast onto the base, the torso/head/arms/rifle are a seperate piece. Some putty might need to be applied carefully around the waist to get a seamless join.

Nice clean figures, with a bunch of fine casting tags here and there but few if any visible mold lines on first inspection. My one minor complaint is that North Star used a very, very small box to pack these figures, so they were in very tightly and as a result, a number of rifle or SMG barrels are bent slightly and will need careful straightening.

Just got back from the Warrior Bazaar show in bolton. I got myself a box of the perry British infantry and the Companion miniatures light infantry and Riflemen command packs. I realised when I got home that the riflemen pack contained a light infantry officer instead of a pointing rifles sergeant meaning I have a duplicate but the figure in question is my favourite of the bunch and being as I'm using them for the War of 1812 I can just give him a different hat, paint him blue and stick him in the American ranks.

I wasn't intending to start the War of 1812 but I've just got a new job and had the money burning a hole in my pocket. I tried to justify it to myself with the fact that I already have a lot of indians for FIW thinking 'if you start this period you're actually saving money because you already have a load of stuff.' I'm only kidding myself.
