Oh Hammers, Hammers, Hammers. If only ye had heeded me, when I tried to warn the populace about Tiger Miniatures. Again and again I have tried to bring you good folk to your senses. Unfortunately, Argsilverson shouts louder about the good than I do about the bad (one feels like such a heel badmouthing someone's earnest efforts all the time).

Their ranges are really interesting, but it pains me to say that I just don't think their sculptor is up to the task. I take no pleasure in saying this because there is so much in their catalogue that I want to buy, but I'm afraid they just aren't good enough.

Hammers, sorry to hear about the Tiger minis.  I just bit the bullet and ordered Afghan regulars from Foundry after not being able to come to terms with Tiger.  If it is any consolation, I now feel better about spending double for Foundry!

Got some of WhiffWaff's LE goblins. The pictures don't do them justice as they are quite small and detailed:

goblin aristocrat:

goblin knight:

goblin shaman:

Also received my package from Red Box Games. These will, along with the Myrmidon Studio germani elves form the basis of a small, highly detailed barbarian army made up from different races (RBG humans and goblins and MS elves).

Their ranges are really interesting...

I wanted first hand experience of Tiger. I am just that kind of stupid.

I think the cavalry will look OK once painted. I suspect the horses are eBob recasts. Shoddy work, but at least decent sculpts.

Just received a WSS French Cavalry Unit from Front Rank to round-ups the number for a small "commission" work.
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://tistaminis.com/

One plastic ECW and two Riflemen from Wargames Illustrated . I had to pay NZ$1 in my local hobby shop but that was better than buying two mags I didn't need . I never saw the ECW figure when the Mag came out and when I enquired I was told they were always missing by the time they hit the shops.

Also got lots of Pirate cannons that I have no idea what to do with at the moment - they seem too small for 28mm  :'(

I agree totally I picked up their Afghans and it is really a shame as the concept isgood but they just dont deliver on the finished product, a little more work is needed

Dave Thomas strikes again, feeding my Foundry Ogre habit with some more lovely sculpts.

Actually, one pack was of swashbuckler orcs, not ogres, as I ordered them on sunday night when I was half cut and hit the wrong button. I didn't realise my mistake until tuesday, by which time Dave had already posted them with his usual efficiency. No worries though, they are still bloody nice figs, and now I have a chef and a jester for the Ogre queen's court.

Be warned - don't drink and eBay!  lol

Happy birthday for last week Karl! Hope you had a good one.  :)

Shame about your Offensive Minis parcel. And I know the posties are playing up again, I'm waiting for a couple of packages from the States and am wondering if they will make it before Christmas.
