Couldn't resist the "20% off" lure (although P&P devoured more than the saved cost) and ordered from the fancy new Foundry website:

Wulf Sternhammer, Johnny Alpha and the Gronk, plus Rogue Trooper, Torquemada and Nemesis. I've removed the base from Rogue because it was just too thick, and did some more-than-minor conversion work on Nemesis, which turned out nicely and much better than the daft pose he comes in. More pics in the 2000AD thread as I paint them up.

Crikey, I didn't realise Nemesis was so big!

So very tempted to take advantage of that offer too, but trying to be good...

I'm still tempted, only 50 pounds for a complete Judge Dredd collection...
But, as you said, the P&P (which is eight bloody quid to Sweden) is a killer...

While this is not a qualifier for my Shitlist, the cost of P&P is why Foundry won't make it to my list of Top Ten Best Miniature Sources.

Don't you get free postage if your order contains one of their books?

Yes, but unfortunately, I had used that option on the one book I wanted when I ordered at their "last" 20% sale some 6 weeks earlier... X-D

Yup, I, to, am not very keen on these marketing scams where I am supposed to 'buy some shit you don't need and get something for "free" '.

I get my Foundry stuff from Miniaturicum and Battlefield Berlin which oddly enough seems to save me a few Euros.

Thank you for your high esteem of my ability to make an informed and uninfluenced decision...  lol ;D  ;)

For the first order, it was a nice coincidence because I actually wanted to get the Compendium as well as the figures (mainly for the Darkest Africa and Conquistador articles, which I didn't get back then in WI).

This time, what pushed me over the edge was the fact that the small figures cost 3 Pounds each instead of the usual 5, and Nemesis 10 instead of 11, ON TOP of which they deducted 20%, so compared to the old site's prices, I got the "smaller" figures for less than half price (2,40 instead of 5 each). If I calculate like that, the savings exceeded the postage, but if you consider the new site on its own, the saving was more or less academic.

Recieved 10 assorted barbarians from EM4 :)
Just a question; My minis arrived cleaned and primed. Is that what you usually get? I've recieved some scavengers from EM4, but that was 5 years ago, and I can't recall that there was anything special about them.
So is the primer alright, or do I need to clean up the minis and re-prime?

It depends, I guess, on the production lot. If they have been produced some time back, you usually get primed and prepared models, which is awesome (for example, my Terminator army and most of my Conan barbarians). If you get a newer casting, they are usually not specially prepared (but still excellent value for money); I recently ordered some more Terminator bots and a cyborg, and only the latter was primed.

The primer itself is rather good, if a bit smooth for my taste. You can use it to "pre-shade" the figure, which I did for some of my barbarians, by wet-brushing some white paint over the figure, but that depends on your painting style, I guess.
