Yesterday was a good day:

Ral Partha raptors and resin crates
Heresy giant slugs, halflings and the new Angel, which is so good I doubt I'll be brave enough to start it.   :o

Are they these here,
http://www.trendsuk.co.uk/prod_dino1.html :?:

Ummm, nope - I tried to look mine up but cannot find them. The brand name is COG, they're made in China, and they come packed in a rectangular perspex box which doubles as a display. Thet cost around 7 Euros each, are posable to some extent, and that chap shown is out of the pox - I still have to clean him up for the few mould lines and cover the jawbone joints, and drybrush a bit. Others in the range include the more  obvious triceratops, stegadon and T-Rex. I chose this guy as he's a bit less frequently encountered. Plans for him? Well, scenery in Pulp (breaking into a museum to steal the mask of someone or other type scenario), scenery in prehistoric stuff, scenery in dino-hunting, and guest appearances in undead-type games :) A Night in the Museum, anyone?  :)

I bought the tricep just yesterday. I have no specific plans for it, but it was cheap, of the right size and decent quality. In sort, a good to have thing.

Hammershield and Lowtardog, do you mean the COG ones or the ones in my link? If COG where did you get them from? :?:

The COG. They seem to be sold as pedagogical toys to parents with a bit  conceited perception of their toddlers. ;-)

So, you'd rather find them in bookshops and museum shops than at Toys'RUs.

Twrchtrwyth, I hadn't realised that COG and the Dino Horizons are one and the same - the dino is at home, and I'm at work, see?
They are in fact the 'Dino Exhibits' you pointed out.
In case you have problems buying them I could get them from the local store and mail them to you, although the selection is limited - I think the T-Rex, Stegadon and Triceratops are the ones still available, with around 3-5 of each in stock.  PM if you don't manage to get your hands on the, and  and I'll find the price and try to check about postage.

Cheers, I've actually e-mailed the company. I'll wait to hear if they have a UK retailer. You may yet hear from me! 8)

Not very pulpy at all, but last Monday I got the first unit for my Ancients army, Cretan Archers and a Republican Roman mounted command from Magister Millitum, all 15mm tall.

Nice sculpts but limited poses (all the archers are in classic draw arrow from back pose).

I had been waiting for quite a while for these and proceeded to clean them, base them, prime them and paint them in one sitting:

In the back row sits a then WIP command stand that I have since finished.

Can´t wait for the bulk of my army to arrive, in the form of excellent Corvus Belli miniatures :)
"And Lo, thou shalt close your legs in a snapping action whence your miniature slips from your hand when you are painting. And the paint will be fresh, and your trousers will be soiled, but you will smile - because the mini was saved"

Aaaarrrgh.... how do you do that??? It would have taken me a month just to clean up the figs  :D

In the meantime I received:

Star Wars Miniatures Champions of the Force Common Set

I had been expecting it since mid-December (bought it off Evilbay end November), so it was nice to get it in  :)
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Generally it bores me to no end the non-painting part of finishing up a mini. Cleaning mold lines, Gluing, even undercoating. I´m really not a modeller, I´m a painter and a gamer :)

However, with the right dose of motivation, I glide through the boring part to get to the most pleasing :)
