Got a largish order from Irregular. Overall, I'm pleased that the sculpts are better-looking than most of the pictures in their website make them seem, but I think I'll try my hand at re-sculpting some of the faces.

The figures are all civilians for my Hyborian setting, mostly middle easterners and central Asians. Irregular is the only company aside from Curteys that makes Mongol civilians that I know, which was my main reason for ordering. Plus they had a belly dancer, a Coptic priest and some other nifty figures that can add a lot of colour to a Zamorian street scene.

10 Black Cat Tombstones figures and 5 Foundry Street Violence B team figure, part or mostly painted courtesy of Jack Hooligan on LAF. My Wild West collection is building nicely, a couple of them can even go straight on to the board.
Cheers,

Some BTD Doctor Who things arrived today.

3 Daleks and 1 Engineer Dalek, another squad for my slowly growing Dalek Army.  :)

Also The Eighth Doctor, I've been quite enjoying the radio adventures with Paul McGann so decided to add him to my selection of Doctors.

And Ace, bomb making sidekick to the Seventh Doctor.

First figures purchased in an age (I've been being good). But it's allowed as they are for an existing project.

Got some of those Woodbine Tommies with the separate heads. I put my own conversion efforts for the Dardanelles on hold when I heard they were coming out, and now I finally have some.

Ordered the Wolseley pattern helmet heads (plus a sprue each of soft and rigid caps, which will be lightly sprinkled among the troops for a bit of flavour) and some backpacks so they will match the conversions I have already made.

They do seem awfully wee. Finicky sorts will have a hard time reconciling them with existing Brigade and Copps figures in their collections, I fancy. But as you may know, I don't really care much about such things. They are clean, with next to no flash, and come with fixed bayonets (Sickers will be pleased. He hates to see a figure wasted by not having a bayonet fixed. He rightly believes they look much better). Thankfully every bayonet arrived bent but unbroken, which compares favourably with some I could mention.

Looking forward to assaulting the Turks' front door with renewed enthusiasm now. I'll see you all in Constantinople for Christmas Dinner (Turkey, of course).
