I just received a copy of 'BLASTER', an Indie game publication I got from Drive Thru RPG. I couldn't see a topic on it elsewhere so apologies if someone has already mentioned it. After flicking through I just wanted to shine a light on it as its a fantastic little production. I suppose this is more of an advert than a review, and I have zero connection to anyone involved other than being a fan of the people involved.
BLASTER is a collaboration between Ash Barker (Guerilla Miniature Games), Joe McCullough (Frostgrave, Oathmark) Joey Maguire (TINT, Realitys Edge) Mike Hutchinson (Gaslands) and Sean Sutter (Relicblade) and is a small but beautifully produced anthology of rules. Ash describes it as a 'Mix tape of ideas'.
Inside edition 1 is a stand alone Mars set Gaslands game, a new Wild West setting for Ospreys Last Days and extra content for This Is Not a Test and Relicblade, as well as a Weathertop inspired set of scenarios for Rangers of Shadow Deep.
It'll be of interest if you play any of these games, but its just great to see this kind of thing out there and readily available. Its not cheap but it feels like the kind of thing that should be supported and nurtered. It seems like a great time for the smaller games, and as gamers we are really spoiled by how much creativity there is out there. If you think it might be your thing id highly recommend it.
