Excellent painting!  These look even better in mass.   I took the easy route and used the squares the Perry's came with. Your basing certainly gives it a more untrained warrior look.
Painted:  2025:539; 2024: 410; 2023: 37; 2022: 56

Thanks Tom  :)

That's great to hear as they were painted 'at pace' and it was the overall impact that I was looking for  :)

I'm currently working my way through the next speed painted batch- 24 to go before the second unit is fit for the table top. I've gone for a slightly redder skin tone on the second batch but will be returning to the darker skin tones of the first for the third! Hope that makes sense?  :D

A little variation looks more realistic to me.

That's what I'm hoping for. I've got 12 in the 'red-ish' skin tone finished from a while ago and they look fine next to the others.

Fingers crossed  :)

Sorry if this was mentioned already, can you tell me what colors did you use on your darker Beja's? I plan to paint some dark skinned Congoans and I want to go darker than the Foundry's African flesh triad that I used on other African miniatures.

No problem at all, it's all explained on this post on my blog:
