One thing - I have ridden a horse twice so I am not an expert, but neither of the figures appears to be holding on to the reins. Are warhorses controlled by gripping the horse's body?

To some extent sure, but they should probably be holding reins. I don't think any of my plastic cavalry from any manufacturer manage this, but you can cover the gap with a shield and pretend.

In the royal horse guard we rode (ceremonial only, I'm in no way a rider) with double bit tack and two pairs of reins held in one hand, one strap between each set of fingers on the left hand, sabre in the right.

So how are my many and various armies going...
As previously shown, I have the Elf Ranger mini army assembled and undercoated: https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=126942.msg1613010#msg1613010

Well, I have assembled my second mini army - based on the minimum points value from the rule book - Humans.

Four ranks of human archers; three ranks of human infantry; two ranks of human spearmen.

Now I have to finish the bases and actually paint them. One figure only is painted, and he was painted at the end of 2019.

I was going to show a graph with the actual production and projected painting timetable, but it was far too depressing...

So Joriffe's undead army has tripled in size.

Okay that is only another twenty figures, but they are painted (which is better than the human army) even though the most recent set do not have their shields added.

With Joriffe.

Now to work out the mini-army list.

Loving it. You're giving me the itch to jump back into fantasy big time! Keep them coming mate.

Thanks.

Just crunched the numbers, and a complete minimum point army just requires three more ranks of Skeleton Soldiers.

Admittedly my original mini-army design was slightly more mixed (and included spears and archers), but I got in the flow and used up too many sprues ^__^.

I will have to buy some more (and another can of Army Painter Skeleton primer).

So here is the (not quite finished) Skeleton mini army for Oathmark.

So nine ranks of Skeleton Soldiers and one level one Necromancer.

I managed to get some of the TTG Skeleton primer, so they will get painted soon.

Another figure that has been sitting forlornly for a long time unpainted

Perry plastic with a head that I cannot remember the source.

Definitely assembled during my GOT enthusiasm, he may well be leading an Oathmark army of some sort.

I have a lot of those Perry sets too, and I like them a lot. And painting the fully armored ones is so quick, its refreshing.

Warlord Celt head I believe. Nicely painted, love the metallics.

Thanks.

@BZ: Yes, full armour is great when you want to get something "finished". I am hoping the Oathmark Dwarf infantry will be similarly easy (and I hope the Heavy will be easier).

@Ogrob: I think you are right - that takes the figure back a while.

Oathmark dwarf infantry is basically a group of iron statues (with some beards and wooden handles), it goes really quick.
