Don's Napoleonic Persians

Maybe this topic is on the wrong board...cause I will go with small battallions with these...
Perhaps more suited with Pikes, Muskets and flaoucy shirts.

Anyway....I was looking throu me leadpile and came a cross a little box full of Napo Persians.
I grabbed a brush and started splashing paint on them...in my typical speed paintingn style...

First 12 man battlion took me around 5 hours.



Really love the miniatures. Exxcellent casting, no flesh. Brilliant.

You know... the Russo-Persian War (1804-1813) was a serious episode during the Napoleonic Wars... one which some historians say was a contributing factor in Napoleon's decision to attack Russia.

It's nice to see someone actually doing minis from this war, and yours look great!

Here is another Battllion.
This time in red Shirts. In the earl phase of the westernisation the battallions had different colours...wow...





The Black Hussar Site has some good reources about flags and uniforms.

And the Battllions in Green and Yellow. Sadly without flags...have to add them....
