yep I spotted this on the BEEB this morning too - I had to laugh, you can study anything at Uni these days.

 I love this bit from the conclusions;

An outbreak of zombies infecting humans is likely to be disastrous, unless extremely aggressive
tactics are employed against the undead. While aggressive quarantine may eradicate
the infection, this is unlikely to happen in practice. A cure would only result in some
humans surviving the outbreak, although they will still coexist with zombies. Only sufficiently
frequent attacks, with increasing force, will result in eradication, assuming the
available resources can be mustered in time.

To quote a well known "bug hunt" film - "I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit, it's the only way to be sure!"

On second thoughts that probably wouldn't work as it might not destroy their brains! So I guess it's back to shotguns & headshots backed up by flamethrowers?
