Magnetizing Renedra Rounds

I’ve redone my storage solution with the Duncan video that’s recently made the rounds. However, I’m looking at using those thin ~1.5mm deep renedra round bases. Has anyone sees magnets to these? How is it done...just drill a hole all the way through, cover one end with green stuff, then push a 1mm magnet in? Have a recommendation on magnet size?

If you are not putting them on sabot bases why not just stick round flat magnets to the bottom?

As you are in the US, have you looked at LITKO self adhesive magnetic rounds?
I am using them with the LITKO thin plywood rounds for my Chain of Command figures.

I am in the US.
I just realized my 1” washers are about 25mm... I wonder if they’ll fit in the Renedra 25mm sabot movement trays? Any idea?

I don't know about the movement trays but I have used magnets and RUB storage boxes for my figures for years. They have held up well. Litko has two types of magnets for flat bases. The thin ones are good for lighter plastic but I would use the heavier magnets for metal figures.  You can get sheets of "steel" liners from Litko or other online shops or use sheet metal.

For heavier figures or thicker stands where you can drill or insert a magnet, I use Neodymium disks from either www.magcraft.com or www.kjmagnetics.com.  These are significantly stronger than the thin sheet magnets you get from Litko.  They also make good paint stands if you glue one to a wooden handle. Goobertown had a good video on this:
