Idea on how to clean out my bits boxes
« on: 16 December 2020, 05:45:40 PM »
While looking through my 28mm bits boxes for some conversion pieces I began to wonder if there is an untapped market for just 28mm bodies and legs. Currently, I find, the heads and arms options massively outweigh the body options included in any of the plastic boxed sets I have seen.

I am wondering if there are any companies that make sprues of just body and legs and sell them individually or their own sets? I know that there are thousands of outfits that the bodies could wear and that would make it a bit challenging for most companies.   It might also not be worth the cost in making molds since I might be the only person interested in buying them.

Am I alone in wanting something like this?
Is this an issue you have as well?

It would make sense. I too have a large supply of heads, arms & legs.
Even if it was a basic torso, I could miliput clothes & armour.

There are a few traders that break up new sets and sell of the separates. Can't remember any names but they appear(ed) at shows.

Check out Anvil Industries, they sell body parts separately (that really doesn't sound good when written down ;D).

Now you come to mention it, though, there is definitely a gap in the market there.
