Sci Fi solo gaming

I recently was given a copy of Horizon Wars Zero Dark. Given where we are in the world at the moment and face to face gaming being a rarity, here is a set of rules that can be played solo. The game plays very well and you need very few figures. Your team can be just 4 figures. The figures can be whatever you have in your collection. You can just select 4 random figures and from that create 4 characters for your game and you are set to go. A few bits of scenery and some other figures to represent the enemy and you are set to go. The game can be played on just 2’ by 2’, so a kitchen tabletop should suffice. It is by the same author. There are lots of parts taken from the original game, but it is a stand alone game.

I'll definitely check it out then.  I liked the original HW but could never really get through the mech and air rules.

Thanks for sharing. I've been seeing this game on WargameVault for a while, and even watched a video or two.  I may have to pull the trigger on it and test it out as I get into Sci Fi genre after primarily doing fantasy games.

I had picked up a copy of 5 Parsecs from Home for solo play, but it's random enemy generation has made it hard for me to get around to playing, since I don't have much of a sci fi collection just yet.
