Battle of Great Meadows using Redcoats & Tomahawks
« on: 16 January 2021, 06:44:45 PM »
In 1754 the Battle of Great Meadows took place. A 22 year old by the name of George Washington defended the construction of the outpost Fort Necessity being being built in what is now southwest Pennsylvania and what the French considered their territory. At 11:00 am Louis Coulon de Villiers led Canadian militia and seven different Native American forces: the Huron, Huron of Lorette, Nipissing, Algonquin, Odawa, Shawnee, and the Abenaki to attack the fort. For this game I've used Colonial Virginia militia, British regulars and Iroquois to defend the fort. The Muskets & Tomahawks rules use a card activation system determining which units activate in what feels like a unique real time sequence. This enjoyable rule set will be seeing a lot more table time.

Nice scenario.  Have you played M&T 1?   If so, how do you think the two compare?

Great looking game - the shot of the Indians leaping out of the woods is wonderful. I was reading about this battle just last night so your blog was a very welcome read! The random events seem to have added some final twists to your game, for sure.
