1/72 Revell Polikarpov I-16 painted for the Winter War
« on: 10 February 2021, 04:05:08 AM »

I painted up an old Revell Polikarpov I-16 to match a photo I had seen of a Russian ground crew hurriedly white-washing an I-16 for the Winter War. I built this one "wheels up" for playing Check Your Six.    https://antonswargame.blogspot.com/2021/02/when-donkeys-fly-revell-172-polikarpov.html

Nice, just getting into building planes myself, haven’t built one since I was a kid 30-35 years ago, have a dozen French, German and Soviet planes on order, need to get one of those.

I remember it was one of the first models that I have made... Mine was dark green (and nowhere near as beautiful as this one).

Aaaah... memories...
