I'm on a quest for STL files to print buildings for various theatres in the Napoleonic Wars, and coming up with scant findings. We'll be printing these in 15mm-ish size, shrinking the X & Y axes to get smaller footprints, while still keeping the height tall enough that cavalry and shouldered muskets of passing troops don't tower over the rooftops of small farms.
I've come across a few expensive files for multi-level removable stages buildings for larger scale skirmish games that are overkill and overpriced for this application.
And I've found one Russian Village set at a good price and just purchased this at Wargamesvault:
https://www.wargamevault.com/product/253924/Russian-WW2-VillageBy making slight changes in the length and width (and not worrying about distortions in the doors, etc), duplicates of each building can be printed so they aren't all identical and should do well enough for Borodino and neighboring villages.
But otherwise, my google-fu and searches for good period buildings on Thingiverse have been failing.
Does anyone have any pointers for files of farms and city buildings:
Russian, more urbany buildings?
German, for Leipzig, etc. — classic Faller model kit styling?
Spanish?
Belgian, more than the iconic Waterloo ones?
Italian (one of our club members might do early war armies...)?
