Finished kit-bashing together the soldiers from The Valley of the Wind nation. Assembled from blisters from 4 different companies. More details and photos on my blog: https://wyndehurstproductions.blogspot.com/2021/03/valley-of-wind-pt2.html

Finished painting the first unit. This is what I am calling the Talmiki Assault unit. In the film you see them assault the castle of the Valley of the Wind and the Pegite airship. Thanks all for the comments.

To get the next miniatures to look right I had to try something new, that I had never done. I needed to sculpt some details with green stuff. I ordered some wax sculpting tools for cheap and garbed a pack of army painter green stuff from a box of stuff a friend recently gave me. When the tools arrived I still put it off for 3 more days until I worked up the courage to give it a go.

First thing I did was and a cowl to the miniature I'd use for Kurotowa, who serves along side Princes Kushana in leading the Talmiki forces. I'm not terribly happy with how it came out but it was my first ever attempt. I think it will be more passable with a paint job.

With that "success" I went on to add hair to the miniature I will use for Princess Nausicaä, This was marginally more successful. Then I did the bushy beards and mustaches of the soldiers from The Valley of the Wind and those looked pretty good I think.
