Tis nice, ain't it. It's an 1870s/early 1880s India thing, mixing the khaki top with the blue trolleys. You would see some British regiments dress like that in the 2nd Afghan War. I've not seen a British khaki tunic with coloured cuff facings personally (and bear in mind it's for a fictional campaign), but in the Indian Army of that time you see it, so it ain't without precedent.

Thanks chaps. I held off posting these as I didn't want to get into a button counting thread - I can list so many reasons why they are so wrong but hey.

I was going to use the Pontoonier Burma Brits but thats a long story as to why I didn't and I will leave that to your imaginations. I still hope to add them at some point, they should match quite well as they are also Paul Hicks sculpts.

First plan was to remove all the cuff detail but being an idle sod I decided against it and am quite happy with the results. I keep meaning to ask Empress if I can buy just the Glengarry head sprues so I can add firing poses.

There are a few more on the painting desk at the mo' so you may see some more soon.

I've been lurking for a while, but I have to pipe up to say, "These guys are terrific."

A fantastic idea well executed! I can't wait to see more of this, although I hope it doesn't force me to add Chinese to my "to do" list!

Very nice indeed.  :)

Anybody who knows the range would have foreseen this guy was next. Another sergeant for the unit.

Slow down Winnie, You'll do yourself an injury, you are not used to so much painting in such a short period of time.
Looking particularly splendid. The white belts and pouches look excellent in contrast to the khaki and blue ;)

I have to add my 2 cents.

Beautiful work, lad. They'll do the Queen honor. (Gawd bless 'er).
