Agis Marvel United minis
« on: March 27, 2021, 02:42:21 PM »
I backed the KS, and not, and then again. Honestly there was no KS before where I changed my mind so often. I am a big Superhero fan, be it Marvel, DC or independent work.
BUT - I really DISLIKE cute chibis... So it was tough for me to stick with the KS, in the end I went all in ...

Anyway - I was positively surprised! The rules are simple enough but also have enough depth for my taste. The minis are GREAT (for chibis) and are fun to paint.
I started with Rocket and Kroot, not my best paint job but very fast, IIRC both in around 1h.

So expect more super cute minis from me... SIGH!  ;)

One more thing, sometimes the pics are not showing in Edge, when using Safari it works for me.
What always works is a look at my website (http://www.adpublishing.de/html/superheroes.html) or opening the pic in a separate window.
cheers and keep on gaming, Agis - http://www.adpublishing.de

1st Villain - the Red Skull:

And Falcon and the Wintersoldier (maybe because of a certain TV series...)

I played the 1st game also - we had a blast, great mechanics, simpe to learn but also a very nice replay value.
I am hooked.

Ultron, super fast paint job, primed black, then metal. After that some drybrush and the red details, glossy varnish, done.

Completely agree. I too typically can't tolerate Chibis but CMON really captured the essence of the characters. And unlike Marvel Crisis Protocol, the minis aren't a veritable fortune and are not based on ridiculous stands in cumbersome poses.  Certainly the games themselves are fundamentally different and require different types of miniatures. For me it's refreshing to see something different in figures other than Heroclix, Knight Models, and Marvel Crisis Protocol. YMMV.

Strangely enough, I cannot view the images in either Edge or Chrome. Had to switch to Firefox to view them.

Great painting as always.

I fully agree, I am really surprised how much I like the game.

Thanks, as far as the not showing pics are concerned, I am open to suggestions.
I can see them on my iPhone, Tablet and with chrome nd firefox.
NOT with edge or internet explorer...

Nope, can't seem either. But on the plus side I do have the minis. I was pleasantly surprised how nice they are. And as you say the game is rather fun. Enough that I have dipped my toe into the new KS as well.

These chibies aren't too cute, they capture the cartoon feel of the characters rather well.

Uuups, just saw your answer now!
But who is Gail Simone? Realted to CMON?

While it is nice to be reckoned, I still do not like simple reposts, why not at least teel the creator that  pic will be used...

Back to the Marvel United since I received my X-Men core box last week.

I finished the Guardians of the Galaxy Box and already started Cyclops and Jean Grey.

X Men

Marvel Girl (later Phoenix and Dark Phoenix) aka Jean Grey - I just had to rework the base, the sculpted cloudy effect was too much for me...

Cyclops aka Scott Summers - No conversion work here, just a solid chibi mini!

Ha! You've probably Googled her by now, but she's a comics writer, primarily for DC, most famous for Birds of Prey and Batgirl. But also a writer on Deadpool for Marvel.

Agree she should probably have tweeted out links, rather than just grabbing images off a Google image search.
