Looks great, nice combination of parts. Always happy to see Hirst Arts being used ;)

Started on the exterior.  Slow going as it is a pig to texture foamex.  Lots of gap filling to do and of course more foamex to cut and texture.

More photos on my blog.

Finally finished construction.  Now on to gap filling.  I am thinking the whole pack of Milliput will end up being used.   Full interior and exterior photos on my blog if you are interested.

That's looking good so far.

Re: the Milliput thing, have you tried Magicsulp?  I've used both and found the latter to be usefull for the same kinds of jobs, easier to mix and considerably more economical (especially when bought in bulk) than the former.  Usually buy mine online off ebay, but the manufacturer site has a distributor list as well as general Q&A and the expected product pimping:

Thanks for the comps.
have you tried Magicsulp?
I used it for years and still have about two pounds left.  Unfortunately it is seven years old as I brought it over when I immigrated. Back at home we had a gem and mineral show and there was a palaeontological booth that I would pick up a big tub from every couple of years.  I have not found a supplier where I can pick it up in similar quantities.  Milliput is just more cost effective over here.

Getting excited & making jokes about dropping Nepalm on little Asian Children in a Viet' village doesn't make it ok just because 'it's wargaming & not real'. You wanker scum need to look again at the real photographic horror of such chemical weapons. Seriously Disgusting mind set amongst some you.

Where's "over here" for you?  Might be someone who can get it to you for a reasonable cost.  You certainly sound like you go through it fast enough if you were buying a big (5 pound?) batch every few years.

I love the stuff but it took me nearly a decade to get through the last five-pounder I bought, these days I', less ambitious and stick to the little 8 ounce ones.  The stuff does keep forever though - that ten-year old set was getting kind of hard crusty for the last few years (mostly owing to my own bad storage habits) but hitting it with a blast from a heat gun or even a  hair dryer before mixing softened it up to normal no problems.  Your seven year old batch ought to be good still to, even if it doesn't feel like it any more.

Chief Lackey Rich At one time I used it quite heavily but lately I have not had much need as I changed materials that I work in.  Miliput is the equivalent of $3 per pack and I hardly ever need that much in one go so it works fine for what I need.  With the Magic Sculp going off, my current stock has been subject to temps from 120f in the shed in AZ to 15f here in the UK.  It is starting to break down and some of the chemicals are leaching out of the hardener.  I have to dig into it now to get usable putty.

Clach Umha if you are planning to do the same with the reliefs be sure to shop around for the cheapest thinnest superglue you can find.  It should soak into the sand completely without leaving any on the surface.
