Signal box and a level crossing have been finished off, should prove a useful objective  >:D

The fence was entirely scratchbuilt from strip styrene, because I'm an idiot  lol

Cheers chaps  :)

That might be the lighting as the only thing that's black is the back panel.

Lovely work but it does suggest that the theory that wargaming is just a gateway drug may be true.

Fight the urge to stand on railway platforms and record serial numbers. Resist the urge to look again at Rod Stewart’s back catalogue just cos he's a model railway nut and most important of all don’t give in to making those ‘chuff-chuff, choo-choo’ noises.  :D

Time for an overdue update  :)

Been messing around with some figure choices and have got some artillery crew and the colours sorted for a civilian regiment.

One of the games we'll eventually play will be shore landings and I've got the intention to build a Martello tower that is undermanned but would get some reinforments during the game and for that I've done some artillery crew. I'll probably do enough for two units of six (playing the same rules as SI). These are Perry ACW arty crew with some small conversion work. Some will be armed and others will  not.

Then the first, of possibly, several civvie units. The weren't officially allowed flags on parade but apparently some were given them by family etc. so I'll do a simple, plain flag with something like 'Forward Our Brave Boys' or some such. They're Perry Canadians from the BIF range

And then there's more terrain, because I can't help myself  lol

It's one of the existing builds with an added set of gardens. I'll be doing similar with the other houses I have and fortunately they are still quite common hereabouts. The garden is extrapolation from some limited research I did a while back.
