The black tree figures look great an much better in my opinion than the current oversized range.

Thanks for the comments all  :D

Iíll probably post a few more in a few weeks/months, as Iíve been stripping my awful teenage paint jobs off a few models here and there. Nasty job!
My armies:
- Henry VIII's army (WIP) 15mm
- Ancient Germans (28mm)
- Ancient Belgae (Gauls with German allies) (28mm)
- Massilian Greeks (Greeks and Gallic mercenaries/subjects) (28mm)
- A few EI Romans (28mm)
- Handful of WW2 British (15mm)
- A load of old 1993-1999ish Warhammer Orcs and Goblins

Really enjoying the paint jobs on these, reminding me very much of my teenage years seeking the perfect shade of green!

These arenít 90s at all, as far as I know, but there are broadly in the style of  GWs orcs of the time. These are Warmonger Miniaturesí mercenary orcs. Landsknechts and orcs combined - two of my favourites rolled into one  :D

Iíll eventually get lots of these but they are pricey.

Sorry the bases arenít done yet.

Those models are gorgeous, until you see the price tag and there goes your dream of making a full army out of them..

What's the recipe for that yellow and the orcs skin? I'd love to try it myself.

Thanks all!

Yes, not cheap! I had £100 worth in my basket for the Xmas sale but backed out and have decided to buy them in smaller tranches.

The orc skin is:
- black undercoat
- Waagh flesh base coat (Citadel)
- Warboss green over most of it, leaving the odd bit of shade
- a wash of Coat DíArmes Green Ink (supposed to be close to the old Citadel Orc Flesh Wash)
- Warboss green over that to smooth it out and pick out non-shade areas
- Warboss Green mixed with Skarsnik green to highlight a bit
- Skarsnik green on its own to highlight
- final highlight was I think Kislev Flesh mixed with Yriel Yellow to create a soft yellowish colour.

I never usually would do so many stages but tried to take these guys up a level!

There are two yellows here, the lighter one is a cream colour base, then Yriel Yellow, then contrast Iyanden yellow washed over, then Yriel again. Finally highlighted with Yriel mixed with a little white.

Another Foundry mercenary orc.
This one with a sort of Cossack hat on.

Another Warmonger mercenary orc. This guy is a big personality! The fact he is wearing a pearl necklace seems eccentrically at odds with his appearance.
