Very cool. I really like the blending between the spawn and the ground. really helps reinforce the feeling.

If it's formless, how do you tell which is front or back?

I realised that too, only after i'd written it! 

i'd imagine you can only tell back from front when it moves......

Painted another one,

My first was painted more as a shoggoth, this one is more in line with the description of formless spawn in the story and 'strange aeons' rule book



and agent 'Lucky' watson facing yet another gory death....

I love the colouring on this version! A nice departure from the pink, fleshy colour everyone seems to associate with this spawn...

Nice, but am I right in thinking that the cast is not 'as' detailed as you would like, (the detail does appear to be painted on?).

Not knocking it just curious so no tantrums please!

No, the detail is there.  I mainly just drybrushed mine and it came out looking great.  Here's the unpainted model:

It has a fair ammount of detail...for a formless blob...no spine thou...I guess it all bepends on your perspective of 'too much' or 'not enough' detail. Some guys love this model...and some hate it...personal taste really.
