I've just posted this great little scenarios to my blog. You know the kind of thing, so simple a child can follow it. And that is just what this scenario was originally made for – C.S.Grants first game, presumably with his dad, back in 1958. "Chance Encounter at Sawmill Village".

I've changed it a bit, because the guys I've done it for, well it's NOT their first game.

For anyone wishing to use this for an introductory game: Originally both sides got to choose six units from a list of ten or so units (a mix of infantry, light infantry, cavalry, artillery units; the same list for both). All entered by their allotted road, order of march being noted prior to game start. Other changes I've made to the scenario are noted on my blog.

It's good to be playing games, without having to play solo, again. Hope you like

I await your report, looks good.
And the glorious general led the advance
With a glorious swish of his sword and his lance
And a glorious clank of his tin-plated pants. - Dr. Seuss
