Brummies Modern Thread - 28mm Vehicle Comparison shot.
« on: 12 July 2021, 12:21:22 PM »
Decided to start a persistent thread to show off my Modern meanderings.

I still haven't chosen a particular scale I like which put the brakes on progress for awhile. In the end though I've decided to just do whatever appeals, so this will be a multi scale project as I quite like what's on offer for 28, 20 and 6mm.  lol

A quick taster: A White Dragon Brit with my first shot at MTP using a tutorial on White Dragons FB page.

Cheers Chaps, the Tutorial was very handy.

Here is the first Fireteam. I've not made my mind up about basing as I have a load of Spectre minis on 2p sized bases so will likely switch to that for continuity.

Cheers! They've been fun to paint so far!

Up next is some movement on the 6mm front; Turkish Armoured Unit. The Turks are going to be a major force in the Campaign and background I have planned with their forces spread across the Caucasus and into Northern and East Africa. Hopefully one day we might get some 20mm and 28mm Modern Turkish army.

And a quick Russian Unit: the Russians will be fighting on all fronts in this Modern Crisis campaign. With conventional and hybrid wars stretching from Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Siberia and Scandinavia to COIN and proxy battles in the Middle East, Central Asia, Africa and Central America they will be almost everywhere.

Some units will be a bit boring through, straight green is the flavour of the day.  lol

Spray painting some vehicles today for the 28mm Brits and thought folks would be interested in a comparison shot: White dragon Mastiff, Spectre JLTV and a Empress Tigr.

Appreciate the scale comp shot.

I was concerned the mastiff would look far too small next to the other vehicles (being 1/56 instead of 1/50), but I think that may have been misplaced.

Really nice paintwork on everything else.

Lovely work all round, but it's the 6mm Turks that really tickle my fancy! That Sabra really is a lovely piece of kit  :D
