Victrix Viking - a quick share of my first in the batch

Bought a couple of these and the Anglo Dane sprues for some Blood Eagle warbands a while back and thus far they have been glued up and black undercoated but left untouched.

I personally find I need to finish one figure and hopefully get the enthusiasm to finish the rest - I really suck at the discipline of batch painting.

This is that lone forerunner so I thought I'd share - only 20 or so more to go now so that could take a while 


oops - the phone slipped (and I haven't touched a drop yet today)


These really are fantastic models, probobly the best plastics I have seen so I think I'll crack on with the rest.

Thanks.  Like my minis my paints are from many manufacturers and periods but I mostly seem to use the Vallejo because I like dropper bottles plus of course the usual washes from Army Painted and/or GW.

I have to say in all honesty that I think the quality of the miniature makes it look good rather than the quality of the painting making the figure look good.  For plastics they have a lot of definition and the brush loves that.

Agreed the detail enhances the paint but don't take anything away from the way you've painted them. Close up photographs soon show any shortcomings and I'm not seeing any. When you say Vallejo would that be the Game Colour range as they appear bright?

Now you have done the first one, i'll be easier to paint the others. With a so good result, you can't miss your goal.
