15mm Fighter concept (scratch build) Pic Heavy

Been awhile posting anything.
So I have had this concept of small ships that are stationed on larger ships. In order to conserve space on the larger ships, that the smaller ships would have their own versions of crew quarters.
So here's my idea for a Fighter. 



With advancement in technology it shouldn't be much bigger than todays fighters



Living space.







There is room for a small firefight against hostile boarders. there is also a little room for four additional personnel doubling as an escape pod incase escape pods are damaged or destroyed.







I built this with foam core board, chipboard and cereal box cardboard. I will be adding fight numbers and some sort of nose art later. I will be buying some really fine paint pens, before doing so.

Thanks, I want to use it other little rolls as well mostly for emergencies purposes. I can't see using them in space game unless I wanted to clear out the whole garage maybe. I just wanted something to have on the ground, in a hanger or at a spaceport. When parked in the hanger they're like little camper RV's.
I still need to come up with some stats for them, and a ships list of supplies for those mishaps adventures.
My plan is to build three more Fighters for my larger plan, of building hanger bays to house them in. I am getting started on a shuttle with the same concept, plus a small cargo carrier for the main ship mostly for orbit to planet cargo carrier. The concept for gaming wise, is they all would have inner solar systems capability. It would be up to the main ship/Mother ship to get them from system to system.

Nice work mate! Having a few ships for a Hangar set up is on the list of things to-do and scratch building them certainly gives you a head start!

I was looking at 2nd Dynasty ships but even at 15mm to get them printed would cost nearly £100 easy.

Nice scratch build - but to me it looks much more like a freighter or shuttle than a fighter. You say its like a camper / RV, and it looks much more like a civilian load hauling ship than a military fighter.

Current fighter planes are nearly all engine and very little crew space  - this appears to be very much the opposite, with next to no engines (I think they are in the wings) and lots of crew / cargo space.

Great work - just looks like a slightly different concept to me.
