Well Mr Westbury WWII? That was a nice surprise. What a great table! Until now I thought Peter had the biggest river....

I made myself a long bridge, then gave it to Ian as I really didn't
fancy making a river to match, then...
Ian got me to make a river that would match the bridge! ;D

Having played a few games of Ian's WW2 rules I would advise
players to stick close to a medic, it is dangerous out there,
well, 'There is a war going on!' and unlike a lot of rules it
is quite likely you will get hurt.

Wow!  Great battle report.  I was a piper with the Calgary Highlanders in the '90s.  The Calgary Highlanders commemorate this battle every year with the Dutch community in Calgary, and in 1994 I was a privileged to travel to Walcheren with a group of veterans for the 50th anniversary of the battle.  We marched across the Sloedam with the pipes and drums leading the veterans - much easier without the Germans trying to stop us!
