AKA Vallejo black splodge. Proper name ‘Earth based acrylics’. Premixed gunk that you just paint on. Use it for tarmac etc. Love the texture of it

This is truly great work. I was also going to ask about the cladding-its very effective. Probably the best sci fi buildings that I have seen and I am looking forward to seeing them painted.

Looks like Plastruct stuff.  Easily ordered online, although any good model railroad shop will have a selection and can generally get any specific type you need.
