I do love that deep crimson you've been using recently. I think I need to add that to my stash. Is it an off-the-shelf colour, or a concoction of your own making?

I just mix as I go, and paints from different ranges.  My standard red at the moment is:

VMC Cavalry Brown
VMC Carmine Red
VGC Bloody Red

Then VGC Hot Orange for the bright stuff.

However, and rather unhelpfully in this case  , I intermix as I go when painting character figures like these and don't need to remember any uniform colours.  So a combination of the above.
