South American Wars of Independence

I am getting ready to do the SA Wars of Independence. Was wondering if anyone else was currently playing it period.
Also I am not sure if I should do it in 15mm or 28mm. Grenadier Productions did a great line of figures but they are gone now.
(Anyone have any of these figures they are not using let me know). I know of two companies that do them in 28mm but they have
very little cavalry. Any suggestions of thoughts are welcome.

Not sure if they have what you are looking for, but take a look through Khurasan Miniatures historical offerings.  There's might be after your period of interest but not my interest so who knows, all I recall is seeing stuff from South America - besides the indigenous folk.

Orinoco and Parkfield both do ranges in 28mm and you can supplement that with conversions from plastic Napoleonics to some extent. 28mm is a good scale to do this in as few of the battles were large scale affairs.

I dream of an age where someone produces dedicated figures for the Guerra Cisplatina.

The 15mm Grenadier Productions range has been transferred to Eureka Miniatures but I believe it hasn't been re-released as Nic does not have all of the castings yet. Contact Nic at Eureka Miniatures and I'm sure he'll sell you what he has made so far.

Nice choice, a very interesting period to game, I would go with 28mm and Parkfield do a really good range, have just seen the Orinoco online but they do look nice.

The Orinoco figures look very nice but the range is quite small at the moment. Also being EU based I would expect P&P and Customs duties would make importing for me into UK a pretty pricey venture. I've seen Parkfield "in the metal" at shows. IMHO opinion they aren't the best sculpts but are certainly value-for-money. I don't game the period myself but have thought about it and if I did would "go small" with something like "Sharpe Practice.

I did contact Eureka and they are willing to sell me the Grenadier figures.
Sadly they don't have the Royalists done yet so I am on the look for what I
can use for Royalist infantry. 15mm won out over 28mm.
