Gladiators
« on: September 25, 2021, 02:37:23 PM »
I painted a couple of Gladiators cast by Foundry - all of them of minor height, yet still for 28mm arena fights.
From left to right there is a Retiarius, Thraex, Murmillo and Provocator.

Nicely done. Any gaming use in mind or were they painted just for fun?

Very, very nice, I really must get some gladiators one of these days.

Is one of them called "Minimus"? - On my signal unleash hell ;)

Good work

Yes, they were painted for "Sons of Mars" which we played recently when I noticed a certain lack of different gladiator types in my Ludus...  ::)

Of course Glen: Minimus Minibus is the name...  :D

Thank you all for the kind comments! Here come a few more Foundry gladiators - I tend to consider my Ludus complete now.
I decided to post them here instead of opening another thread. Anyway I changed the title.

These are the males: Thraex, Thraex, Murmillo and Provocator from left to right:

And the females: Retiaria, Thracia, Murmilla and Provocatora from left to right:

The dusty dozen awaiting their first fights:

Great stuff Michi, the foundry gladiators are very nice, the animal packs are good too!

I may add another two gladiatrices which were both 3D-printed in grey resin. One is a left-handed Thracia and the other is a Retiaria:
