[Stargrave] Gunfighters from the unpainted lead pile
« on: 26 September 2021, 03:14:20 PM »
New post on the blog showing off some figs I dug out of the unpainted lead pile for the new Gunfighter soldiers in Quarantine 37.   Chunky 90s era metal is so nostalgic.  More images and discussion at the link:

Meh, they need bigger shoulder pads.

But seriously, tidy paint on figures I would have binned.

More fool thee, then.  Never chuck a mini, if nothing else someone out there will want it in trade for something you like better.  Even more true for older metals when there was still lead in the alloy.  That crap doesn't belong in a landfill where it can contaminate the groundwater.

Now that I've had some time to digest and test the Quarantine 37 stuff, I've updated this post with a suggested rules change for the Gunfighter.  They really aren't very competitive with shotgun-armed snipers (which are actually a thing in this game) as written, and I think my fix puts them in a better spot in terms of both balance and having a unique trick.
