I'm mainly into horse and musket historics, or should I say my ambitions lie mainly in that direction as I am just starting out. However, I found some old fantasy minis knocking around and decided to have a go at them for fun and to experiment. A couple of Reaper... hobgoblins probably? Something like that. They have semi-Samurai type armour so maybe they are bakemono. Anyway I really liked the look of them and I enjoyed painting them.
I was making it up as I went along but mainly army painter, desert yellow flesh, flesh tone wash on the skin, mix of soft and dark tone washes over the armour, topped off with a drybrush. Although I tend to leave too much paint on the brush.
And a Reaper Deep One:
The Deep One was a super quick job. Grey undercoat, citadel contrast dark green coat and aetherium blue or whatever it's called on the spine, a quick drybrush with army painter mummy robe and necrotic flesh mix, yellow eyes. That was it. Took me about 10 minutes. Not competition standard but I would not be embarrassed to drop this on the table.
