Tap's Killteam and 40K Doh!!!!
« on: 01 November 2021, 04:36:29 PM »
Started putting a force together for 40K as GW are the main games played at all the clubs around here.

Some folk have now got into the new Killteam so I thought I'd treat myself to the Octarius starter box that has Orks and Krieg (I had no idea neither).

The bubblegum green cartoon Orks didn't appeal so I'm modelling my boys on the rescue team from Predator.

Here's Major 'Dutch' (apologies for the not too cracking pictures), rest of the team to follow.

I like it, very gritty, reminds me of an artwork in a 2000 AD book, such as ABC Warriors. Cracking job and curious to see the others.

Love him :-*

Even a Predator would think twice before tangling with Ork`Ardnold

Very cool

Thank you for the positive comments fellas.

I've got a few more figures part painted but decided to multi task yesterday by painting up the terrain pieces whilst watching the rugby.

Very basic job: spray prime black, zenithal highlight in grey, paint a few panels per piece in watered down contrast paints, drybrush bronze, drybrush silver, drybrush sand (heavy at the bottom).

Got it all painted whilst New Zealand and England destroyed their opponents - by the time Wales and South Africa kicked off it was all done (less than 4 hours).

And the main ruins combine to make one large building:

Nicely painted, no offence to you,  but you know for me personally the gw scenics remind me of kiddies play sets

love the 'predator' theme (arnold's brilliant), and great job on the scenery pieces.
