15mm old west project. 3d printing my own little frontier.
« on: November 21, 2021, 12:05:48 PM »
On my other thread here https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=134034.msg1704426#new follows, I've been teaching myself to model digitally using MS paint and a bit of microsoft 3d builder.

The other day at work I killed some time making these 15mm cowboys and it kicked off something deep inside me.I've wanted to do an old west project for ages but haven't really found a range i like.

So now I have these two, and another bandit type ready to paint, and will make more in the near future.

Anyway, More to follow!

"but haven't really found a range i like."

To each their own, of course, but out of the several ranges of 15 mm Old West, you can't find a range you like is a bit of a surprise to me.  Bluemoon from Old Glry 25s, Peter Pig Western range, the Yellow Ribbon range from Freikorp/QRF, Hovels (a bit small, granted), Minifigs figures, Irregular (a bit large), and that very old range I always forget the name of, and there is even a smallish range of new figures that includes some Apaches (again, can't remember the name).  Taken as a whole, not too many items you can't find from those ranges.  Curious why none of those ranges work for you?

I have figures from all of the ranges, most are very good, some only okay, but all servicable - and mostly good to better.  But, heck, always room for more.  Though I don't need more!

Nice pair of figures.  I wish I could get my hands on a couple of each!
